New Age Dental is well established and known for its excellent sedation dentistry and sleep dentistry solutions, provided in world-class, custom-designed treatment rooms with built-in sedation equipment.
We were the first general dental practice in the country to gain certification as a Day Procedure Centre from the Australian Department of Health and Human Services. While these boutique-style facilities are available to general dentists and specialists, we recognise that it is sometimes preferable for dentists to offer sedation in-house, where patients can receive care in safe and familiar surroundings.

Pre-procedure consultation
A confidential health assessment reviews medical history, medications and past anaesthetic experiences, so the anaesthetic plan is tailored before the day of treatment.

Preparing for the day
Clear fasting instructions are provided, along with guidance on medications, comfortable clothing and arranging a responsible adult to accompany the patient home.

In the treatment room
Anaesthesia is administered through a small cannula in your own practice. Patients drift comfortably to sleep within moments, with no awareness of the procedure.

Continuous monitoring
Heart rate, oxygen levels, blood pressure and breathing are monitored throughout by a specialist anaesthetist dedicated solely to the patient.

Recovery and aftercare
Patients wake gently in recovery and are observed until they are stable, alert and ready to be discharged home with written aftercare instructions.
